Beyond Pink is holding its ninth annual Designer Bra Fashion Show and Auction October 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Davenport Grand Hotel in downtown Spokane. Coined the biggest “fun raiser” of the year, the event provides education and funding devoted to early detection of breast disease for women in need. “It provides risk assessment thermal imaging, a clinical breast exam, report and follow-up consultation with a Beyond Pink contracted doctor. Thermal imaging is not generally covered by insurance,” shares Beyond Pink co-founder Karla Porter, owner of Insight Thermal Imaging. “Our mission is to educate and empower women in the early detection of breast disease through breast thermal imaging, which may provide indications of disease many years before a mass is large enough to show on a mammogram, ultrasound or MRI.”

“The evening begins with silent auction tables which include signed Gonzaga basketballs, guitars, longboards, local fares, vacations and more,” says Beyond Pink co-founder Charlie Brewer, whose family has been directly affected by breast cancer. “Guests will sip our complimentary wine, dine on delicious hors-d’oeuvres, and bid on Spokane’s liveliest auction knowing that every penny donated goes back to women in our community to save lives.”

Admission is $75. Location: 333 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. To purchase tickets, call 509-863-7776 or visit BeyondPink.net.
