Sam Karorero and Erin Meuer, co-owners of The Lotus holistic co-op in downtown Spokane, are hosting a morning and evening October Magic Moon event on October 21. The first session, Morning Moon Risers, will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and the second, Evening Moon Beams, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

Both sessions include a group oracle reading, intention ceremony, yoga and meditation. “Morning Moon Risers will feature an energizing vinyasa flow, which is a more athletic-style yoga,” explains Meuer. “The Evening Moon Beams session will offer a gentle and restorative yoga flow that is meant to be more relaxing, and ideal for those who are new to yoga or who want to relax.” The Lotus will feature local yoga teachers and various healers at these events.

Karorero and Meuer plan to host the Magic Moon event once a month on the Sunday closest to the full moon, based on the moon calendar. “The moon is powerful and has the potential to enhance our lives” assures Meuer. “Coming together in community allows us to harness the energies of the full moon to make positive changes in our lives and to individually and collectively grow as we become more in touch with ourselves and the world around us. And that is essentially the essence of The Lotus Spokane.”
