Neely Wadden, trained yoga instructor and owner of Neely’s Yoga, is offering a monthly Yoga for Pregnancy Loss workshop on the third Saturday of each month beginning February 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lotus in downtown Spokane.

“This powerful workshop invites those who have lost a pregnancy at any stage to connect with a community of support, and to use the ancient healing techniques of yoga, breathwork and meditation to meet their grief and work through it,” says Wadden. “We tend to hold our issues in our tissues. Opening different areas of the body and turning inward is a powerful way to release these built up emotions, or to bring them up to be dealt with.”

Trained in pregnancy and post-pregnancy yoga, Wadden has been teaching pregnancy classes at Harmony Yoga for eight years. She decided to reach out to the many women whose pregnancies have ended in miscarriage and offer a class specifically for them. “One in five pregnancies end in miscarriage and the community is called to reach out to these women and allow them to share their stories, grief and heartache,” shares Wadden. “Each monthly workshop will include a chance to share with others who have dealt with a similar loss.”

Cost: $25. Location: 225 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane. To enroll or for more information, visit NeelysYoga.com or call 509-532-8749.
