The Temple of Light Academy in Moscow, Idaho, is offering a beginner and advanced level animal reiki practitioner certification course. Animal Reiki Shoden Level I is being held August 10 to 11 and Okuden Level II will take place September 21 to 22.
“Animal reiki is a non-invasive method for sharing life force healing energy with companion animals, and animals at vet clinics, groomers and shelters,” says certified animal reiki master practitioner, Dr. Linda Kingsbury. “Reiki is ideal for use with animals because it is gentle and can relieve stress, discomfort and pain. Animals respond intuitively to reiki’s power to support the healing of emotional, behavioral and physical illnesses and injuries.”
Kingsbury says she feels a sense of interspecies communication happening during sessions and finds animal reiki fascinating and fun to practice and teach. “Sharing reiki with animals is a wonderful way to bring healing to yourself and the earth,” she affirms. “The experience of creating sacred space and giving the animal permission to access healing energy as they desire is calming and rejuvenating for both you and your companion animals. Acknowledging animals as teachers and sensitive emotional and intuitive creatures brings healing to our heart, the animals, and the world.”
Cost: $350 for Shoden Level I; $400 for Okuden Level II; $750 for both levels. For more information, call or text 208-883-9933 or visit TempleOfLightAcademy.com.
